Immersive experience at Delta 7: Virtual reality serving the well-being of seniors
As part of the “Virtual Reality for Healthy Aging” project led by the Klésia mutual insurance company, the Teleport IN deployed the EMOCHUTE Casa Delta 7 day care center in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The goal is to integrate virtual reality into the routine of care and activities for seniors, offering them moments of escape, relaxation, and cognitive stimulation, all within a recreational and therapeutic setting.

A virtual journey designed to benefit senior citizens
Since the introduction of virtual reality headsets, several residents have had the opportunity to experience this technology for the first time. The goal was to offer a variety of experiences, from virtual tours of iconic locations and relaxation exercises to programs focused on heart coherence. These activities not only captivated users but also created moments of well-being and deep relaxation.
Participant feedback was overwhelmingly positive. They particularly appreciated the immersive experience offered by virtual reality with 360° videos. These videos transported them to places they had never visited or that rekindled cherished memories. The experience was described as innovative and captivating, offering a new way to travel and reconnect with the outside world, even from the comfort of their own home!
Benefits beyond entertainment
The impact of using virtual reality headsets goes far beyond simple entertainment. Heart coherence programs, for example, have been particularly well-received for their ability to help residents focus on their breathing, thus reducing stress and bringing a sense of calm. Others have found virtual tours a source of inspiration and joy, with a desire to discover even more new virtual destinations.
This approach, combining technological innovation and well-being, shows that virtual reality can be a powerful tool to enrich the daily lives of seniors, offering them enriching and soothing experiences.

Towards a future rich in immersive experiences
The success of this first phase of virtual reality integration at Delta 7 is promising for the future. Residents expressed their desire to reuse the headsets, offering suggestions for future experiences, thus demonstrating the value of this technology in this context.
At Teleport IN, we are committed to continuing the development of these innovative tools. Our ambition is to transform the experience of seniors by regularly offering them moments of escape and serenity. This project is part of a long-term vision where technology, far from being reserved for the younger generation, becomes a true ally in improving the quality of life for older people.
Conclusion: An adventure to be continued
The deployment of virtual reality at Delta 7 is part of an innovative approach to improving the well-being of seniors. The enthusiastic feedback from participants encourages us to continue exploring and developing this technology to better meet their needs. We look forward to sharing the next steps in this promising project.
